Cheap Flights on Porter Airlines are always easy to find. The airline is based out of the Billy Bishop Toronto city airport. Porter operates regular flights between Toronto and cities in Canada and the United States. They use a Canadian built Bombardier Dash 8 Q-400 turboprop.
Originally Porter planned to rent a lot on island and build a bridge over even after some controversy. The designs to bridge the airport island to the main city were cancelled in 2003, leading to lawsuits between the city of Toronto and the airline. The airline eventually bought entire island and the airport terminal and evicted Air Canada from the airport because they where competitors. Even with opposition Porter Airlines have grown there airline since 2006, adding to there destinations and aircraft fleet. Since then Porter opened a bigger new passenger terminal on the island in March 2010. Porter is the only Canadian airline company with a 4-star rating from Skytrax.
