Chinese 'slaves' and tunnels
Canada has not always been the land of freedom for all that it is now. This sobering fact is apparent as you wander down the 'tunnels' of main street Moose Jaws. During a guided tour we got a good impression of the way Chinese ‘slaves’ did work and live under the ground in very bad circumstances. Other tunnels were used by gangsters for smuggling alcohol into the States. I was stunned to find out that Canada is one of the top countries in the world TODAY for human trafickers to ship their merchandise to because of lax Canadian laws.
I came away thinking that slavery, in all it's forms and under all titles is wrong, and everyone has a responsibility to make it stop
