Toronto: TO, the Queen City, Hogtown...

Though it is not the nation's capital (or the centre of the universe for that matter), Toronto does have a lot to offer. Pearson International Airport offers many direct flights around the world (and the airport on Centre Island is expanding its destinations), or you can always take the train from Montréal/Ottawa or Niagara Falls for a more scenic trip.

Located on Lake Ontario, Toronto offers a little bit of everything! From shopping, to museums & galleries, to nightlife, and even a little escape from the city, you are sure to find something to please you!

The Eaton's Centre: though the department store that gave it's name to the mall no longer exists, it is still a major destination in the downtown core. Within walking distance to many shops in the area.

ROM (Royal Ontario Museum): with a recent addition, it has been able to increase its space allowing for more/larger exhibits.
AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario): one of the largest art museums in North America ranging from 100 AD, contemporary, works from Masters such as van Dyck and Degas and even some Warhol.
CN Tower: the world's largest freestanding structure on land (and possibly home to the world's highest wine cellar). Located in downtown Toronto next to the Rogers Centre (sports venue). There is even a revolving restaurant at the top!
CNE (Canadian National Exhibition, the Eastern counterpart to the PNE): fun for everyone!
Centre Island: What became for me an oasis in the “big city”. To get there, you can take the ferry from downtown Toronto (about 15 mins across). There are beaches, rides, parks, paths and bicycle rentals. Quite relaxing!

Love'em or hate'em, home of the Maple Leafs (NHL), Blue Jays (MLB) and Argonauts (CFL)

Popular filming location for TV shows and movies (Canadian, American and International)-you might recognize some locations!

Toronto is also within driving distance/rail (daytrips) to Niagara Falls, Kingston, 1000 Islands and other destinations!
