Hello all you wonderful Leavitts and one Rattan,
Hope you are still alive and well in your new home on Vanuatu! We miss you all but we know that you are having the adventure of a life-time and that you are truly making a great contribution to the people on Tanna.
You certainly do have guardian angels watching over you as you travel to other villages in your truck on precarious roads, untravelled byways, along cliffs, and visiting the unpredictable volcano!!!
Shiera, you are amazing in your stewardship as a mom, keeping your family fed, clothed, and educated in your island paradise under some unpredictable conditons!
Dan, your diligence as a father, doctor, and husband is amazing as I've read the blogs about all of your near-death experiences trekking into unknown territory in your vehicle ! All of your blogs should be compiled into a book-which would be a #1 seller! I can just envision you with your red Dockta bag visiting remote villages not knowing what to expect when you arrive.
Racheal, Shaina, Heather, and Amalie-you girls are so awesome in all that you're doing to help your dad in the hospital and with all you do at home to keep things running as smoothly as possible! You are all inspiring.
Reuben, Aaron, Joshua, and Teyvin,
You are the best boys in the world and the Vanuatuans are so lucky to have you for friends and for your support! The chickens on the other hand will be glad when you leave!
Are you getting enough to eat Teyvin? Joshua, what kinds of insects and creatures have you found there? Reuben and Aaron-sounds like you both have the ability to become doctors if that's what you choose.
I'm sending newborn baby blankets and clothes(from Leslie and I) this week-hope you get them soon. The sisters in R.S. will likely get some things together for you as well. I'll let you know.
Dave and I are going on our Hawaiian Cruise on Thursday and I'll write to you when we get back at the end of September.
Lots of Love, Yvonne
