Hi: We live in Edmonton and like to travel.

WE experienced our first escorted tour to Costa Rica with Caravan tours in December. We are planning another with them to Mexico in November. I need to find RESONABLE FARES. We need to land in Mexico City and depart from Cancun as this is a bus tour. Any advice. The only fares I can find are $1200 plus. That's rediculous.

Yes, last year there was a company called Jetsgo Airlines that was selling tickets (very restrictive) for a dollar one way when you bought the return ticket at the regular fare. Unfortunately with crazy promotions like that they went bankrupt and left a lot of people stranded.

Although tickets are no longer $1 since Jetsgo went bankrupt, the airlines now operating in Canada are very solid (and prices are based upon being both competitive and profitable).
