Mexico- tourist informations

Hello ,

I wish somebody could advice me what region of Mexico is richer in the MAYA CULTURE & HISTORY ?: CANCUN or COZUMEL ???
I intend to reserve a vacation for mid November and I'm looking forward to read your propositions concerning that interest of mine !!!

What about details for the City of MATANZA ??? how far is this city from CANCUN ??
I'll appreciate your guiding in that matter !!!

By staying in Cancun you will have easier access to the Mayan Historical sites without taking a 35 minute ferry ride from Cozumel to the mainland. Although the resort area of Cancun does not contain as much history due to its resort like nature, it is much easier to visit the main historical sites such as Tuluum and Chichen Itza when on the mainland of Mexico. I would imagine that being on Cozumel would limit you to the history of that island and require a ferry ride to get anywhere.
