Hey Aaron hows it going?

Right now I am in Ontario, a super fun province. Earlier this week we picked up a really nice hitchhiker named Patrick, he was on the side of the road as we were exiting the Terry Fox memorial. He plays guitar and has a French accent because he grew up in Montreal. He can speak English because lived in Toronto for a few years.

So what are you guys doing over in B.C.? Is it still cold because if it is hot and sunny I am going to be so jealous!! Over here it has been raining with tons of wind (so cold!) and because it was hot in BC when we left I thought that was how the rest of Canada was. Toronto: TO, the Queen City, Hogtown...

Though it is not the nation's capital (or the centre of the universe for that matter), Toronto does have a lot to offer. Pearson International Airport offers many direct flights around the world (and the airport on Centre Island is expanding its destinations), or you can always take the train from Montréal/Ottawa or Niagara Falls for a more scenic trip.


Located on Lake Ontario, Toronto offers a little bit of everything! From shopping, to museums & galleries, to nightlife, and even a little escape from the city, you are sure to find something to please you!


The Eaton's Centre: though the department store that gave it's name to the mall no longer exists, it is still a major destination in the downtown...

The National Capital Region (including Gatineau, Québec) has attractions enough for every season!

Most locals will spend at least some part of their day on the Rideau Canal. During the warmer months, people bike, jog and blade along its paths. And in the summer, you can see the locks at work carrying ships from the Rideau River to the lakes. There are tours on the canal, or bus tours that pass along it. During the winter, the water is lowered to allow it to freeze over and become the world's largest skating rink. Don't worry if you didn't bring skates -you can rent them- or if you don't skate at all! Sip hot chocolate and eat Beaver Tails (not literal, they are delicious pastry treats either savoury or sweet) and wash other people...
