Anne and the Beach

Posted 06-27-2009 at 05:36 AM by Alyssa (Alyssa's Blog)

June 26, Friday 2009 DAY 35

The first thing we did after breakfast and cleanup, was to go swimming at the pool that was in the campground we stayed at. We stayed there for about an hour until we had to go off to the Anne of Green Gables Park that was about two minutes away.

The Anne of Green Gables Park is a town with all the houses from Anne of Green Gables and they have all of the main events happening through the day. First they'll have Anne coming from the station, and later she will be getting into a bad temper with Rachel and later they will have the tea pary with her friend and so on. The whole thing though, was more set towards younger kids I think. The oldest kid I saw there was 11 years old. It was

Walking on Bridges and Through the Past

Posted 06-27-2009 at 05:03 AM by Alyssa (Alyssa's Blog)

June 24, Wednesday 2009 DAY 33
We all got some warm showers today! We found a place with nice warm showers.... It was nice since our hot water tank in the motorhome isn't big enough for the whole family, so some of us get cold showers. We all were thrilled except for Orin (8) and Eli (6) who said that they had, had showers three days ago, and Teyauna who loves baths, but screams the moment the shower goes on, even if she is still dry.

We just walked across the longest covered bridge in the world! We had to walk 'cause our MoHo is too tall. And Teyauna was very happy to get some exercise out. We were not pleased however, when we came back all tired to have mom and dad tell us that we were supposed to have gotten a little

Foghorn and Mosquitoes

Posted 06-24-2009 at 01:36 PM by Alyssa (Alyssa's Blog)

June 23, Tuesday 2009 DAY 32

Today we woke up to the sound of dad making a loud “HONK!” noise. Apparently, Teyauna, my one year old sister, was pressing her nose saying “beep bee beep” and was being replied by mom with her own beeps when dad decided to join in. His excuse is that he doesn't know how to do soft beep beeps, so he decided on a resounding “HONK!” that woke the whole family and scared Teyauna who quickly hid behind mom and wouldn't come out until she decided that it would be fun to do it again. Crawling back over to his side of the bed she did her “bee beep” thing which resulted in yet another foghorn wake up call........
At around 12:30, we arrived at what we thought was a little info center, but turned...

Marine Land

Posted 06-24-2009 at 01:31 PM by Alyssa (Alyssa's Blog)

June 6, Saturday 2009 DAY 15

I Finally got a warm shower today! We stopped at an RV park, so we were able to plug in and get water and all that. We haven't been having warm showers lately 'cause one of the valves in the water pipes had been switched the wrong way, making it impossible for warm water to come out. But we fixed it!

Later

Marine Land was pretty fun, but more for 10 years old on down. But there were some good rides like the Sky Screamer, even if everything was quite spread out. The dolphin and sea otter show was really good! They had all kinds of things that they got them to do, like flips and singing for the dolphins and dancing as well as acting for the sea otters.

Eating The Dust

Eating the Dust

At 11:00am, we arrived at the historical site Fort Battleford. It was really neat 'cause we had a tour guide tell us the history of the Fort and the Royal Mounties as she showed us some replicas and some actual artifacts from that time and area. My brothers were really excited though about the gun display they did inside the actual fort and later the canon demonstration.
The youngest three boys all got to try on some Mountie costumes for a picture as well. Despite the fact that it was pretty cold weather outside, we really enjoyed the whole experience! It also helped that since mom had gone into the Motorhome early, we were able to enjoy a nice warm lunch of rice and curry.
After about two hours...
