Our Adventure Begins
May 30, Saturday 2009 DAY 1
We've started our adventure! I have been really excited for this trip, researching places to see, packing up, and getting our home and other things ready for the people taking care of our house.
We stayed longer than we had hoped at the house, doing last minute things, saying goodbye to everyone and we had to rush over to the library and return some books on CD.
Yesterday this guy from A channel news came and interviewed us and got some footage of us packing. He even got some close ups on the “Follow our Family of 8 for 17,000 km at FamilyAdventuring.com” tshirts that I made and that we were all wearing for this thing. Luckily it was the one of my brother's and not mine! It's annoying though 'cause we weren't able to watch it. We are going to get it from some of our friends though and dad wants to put it on YouTube and link it up to his business website, so we will probably see it soon.
Tomorrow we will be in a town called Craigellachie. It's a small town, unlike it's long name.

Very Cool!
I look forward to your adventures and misadventures! I am a homeschooling mom with 2 boys (currently 10.5 and 12) in the interior of BC. In 2 years, we are planning on going across Canada and back through the USA with my parents in their motorhome. It will be cool to get some ideas (note to self, no crooked trees in Sask.!) as I follow your travels.
