The Best of Arizona
I never thought I would love Arizona but since visiting 4 years ago for the first time, my husband and I have gone back again and again and I understand becoming a Snowbird now. Of course the Grand Canyon is a must see, but off the beaten path Williams Arizona is one of our favorites. If you have ever watched Disney's Cars you will appreciate this little town on the original Route 66. While there go to Twister's Soda Fountain for REAL milkshakes and make sure you go with an empty stomach because one milkshake fills 3 glasses and you will be filled up. Twister's also has Route 66 merchandise for the collector, original road signs and any souveniors you need and is decked out in Coca Cola style, it is just like stepping back in time. Sedona is also a must see, the red rocks are beautiful and peaceful, while there go to the vortex's, try to find one off the beaten path so you can experience the amazing feelings they create. It is an art town, full of galleries and local artists. Just outside of Sedona is Jerome and be prepared to spend a whole day, it is a ghost town and full of art studios galore. These are just some of the highlights of northern Arizona, there is definetly more to Arizona than the Grand Canyon.
