Standoff
If you want to enjoy Alberta, you must take time to visit Standoff in Southern Alberta during Pow Wow time. It is our family tradition to go each year and enjoy world class dancing, drumming and singing. The sense of community is great as you see families from all over Canada and United states camping and eating together for the weekend. This is a completely family friendly event with no alcohol and a fair attached to it. Truth is, my kids have always been so facinated by the dancing and regalia that surrounded them that we have never gone to the fair, but it is there if you want it. Bring a plastic bag and get your kids to pick up bottles to return to recycling and they have made a small fortune!!!
