Happy roaming
I love your idea of the family travelling across Canada. A couple of years ago my husband and I , then in our 60's and 70's took a trip east from Winnipeg to Newfoundland in our 85 Dodge Conversion Van. We parked at Legions and at Walmart from time to time. What a wonderful trip. Don't forget Newfoundland and Lanse au Meadows where the Vikings made their home, then on to Twilingate, you may get lucky and see icebergs. We took the ferry from Port au Basque to go over and crossed back on the Argentia ferry. The latter takes much longer but the comraderie on the ship was just great!! Also , don't forget the settlement at Louisberg, another, historical teaching area. This year we are heading west with the same old van. Now we are both well into our 70"s and intend to go up the Dempster Highway to Inuvik. Then we can say that we have been to every part of Canada. And, we have only missed 2 states in the U.S.A. We also went through the states on the way east. This year we do the same thing but go west. Have a wonderful trip , I know you will. Marion Pederson, Beausejour , Mb.
